Autumn
From warm summer night to crisp sunny days, in came Autumn. My favorite season of all. I can appreciate each season for what it brings, but Fall is by far the best. I can’t imagine living somewhere that doens’t have the beautiful colors of October, I look forward to it all year long. But enough about my love of one season.
Summer ended with the wedding of Austin & Desiree. A Jesus centered ceremony and two stunning locations for photos that the bride & groom both picked out ( which I LOVED as a photographer ) . I loved her Little details through out the day and yet the simplicity of it all.
September kept me busy with several sessions, weddings … and moving ! Levi & Destiny kicked off my September with a pretty day celebrating at a local venue in Pequea, PA. Her attention to detail was on point ( which was so nice, especially for her flat lay photos ) . From the picturesque pond that overlooked the entire venue - that made for great photo spot , to the charm of the river hills in southern Lancaster County. It is so fun to see each couples ideas and personalities come out in the planning process. Next, I had Matthew & Helena. It was my first time shooting at a ballroom for a wedding , and I loved it. More than I actually thought I would ! Simple, elegant and classic. Everything was so easily accessible , and Helena had a great vendor team lined up. It really was a pleasure shooting at The Willows and capturing the love between Matthew & Helena. To end September, we celebrated with Ben & Bekah at Pilgrims Oak Golf course ( which her family owns ) . I have always been a fan of the simple black & white theme - and Bekah pulled it off perfectly! It was classy , beautiful and understated. We had an amazing sunset that day , and of course I loved getting to follow them around on golf carts looking for different photo-opps that Bekah had picked out before the day. One thing a photographer really loves are couples who love photos and want to take the time to get great ones. Picking out different spots and putting some thought into the photos really just makes my heart skip a couple beats :) Last, to end my wedding season for 2023 was Kevin & Melissa- and how much fun these two are! Another new venue too me was Lakefield Weddings , another beautiful location in Lancaster County ! Through out the day you could feel the love & support from both friends or family, and that is so cool to see as a photographer. One of my favorites from this day ? The dessert bar ! haha. Kinda joking. The sunset photos with these two were on point, and they made my job effortless!
Enough about all the beautiful weddings this Fall, the families I had the honor to capture were also AMAZING ! I really couldn’t do this without any of you . Returning clients, thank you so so much. I absolutely love getting to see peoples families grow and children get older each year. It makes my heart do little flips ! For all of the new clients I had, it was a joy to meet you and create those memories ! It was a BUSY Fall. We moved at the end of September and if I had to do this over, it would be to not move during my busy season. Talk about insane at times. Shooting weddings or sessions just days after we had moved, trying to find clothes still or bathroom products. At least I knew where all my gear was , right ? ;) Some of the sessions I captured this fall , I had the privilege to do so at our new property. It has been a dream of mine to be able too do that, and while the circumstances of moving and leaving my school house were unexpected, getting to capture memories for people at my new home is special. Looking forward to seeing how the property looks in the Spring time with everything blooming, maybe spring mini’s here ? ;)
Next up is a weekend of Christmas Tree farm sessions and I can't wait to share those with you ! Here are a few images from this Fall !
