When I originally started to blog, I thought it would be for every wedding… I was definitely wrong on that one. Sometimes life is just a little too busy on my end, so instead I try to blog the season.

This year went by so fast, I blinked and here it is almost Christmas again. It’s like a sense of dejavu. Looking forwards to a slow 2 months to get some projects done, update my website & finish editing my Fall weddings. I remember when I first started getting into photography, I kinda panicked at the thought of having slow months...now I look forward to it !

I was blessed by so many wonderful clients this year, some that became friends or were just the sweetest people to work with. Clients that value you as a person & professional are my kind of people. I also met some really cool vendors this year that I throughly enjoyed working alongside and hoping I get too again.

In July I took a photography workshop by an amazing company that was held at Conestoga Gardens..Once a year I take a workshop for my business. It really challenged me and also gave me some fresh ideas in areas that I felt stuck in. I think it’s important as a professional ( no matter what field ) to always look for ways to improve and expand your knowledge ! I truly don’t think a person ever stops learning.

One thing I felt this year was that I was really fed in to… by other wedding professionals , clients or friends. It is amazing when you open up to people with honesty, the feedback that you receive ( So thankful 😊) Owning a small business , you need to have boundaries ; something I have struggled with. Having boundaries in business ( & life ) can really help you as a person. Going forward into 2025 I will be making some changes . I think it will be good for everyone in the long run and help me as a business owner. The busier I get, the more I see a need for some set rules. Just out of curiosity , I counted how many sessions & weddings I did in 2024. I definitely thought my numbers were about half of what it turned out to be… 75 sessions & 15 weddings ( that is including micros, extended fam’s , pro-bono ).

Enjoy some photos of a few weddings & sessions I had the pleasure of shooting this year! One location I hope to see again is Antrim 1844…. I love love history & this place was just 👌🏻.
